ODC-TBI supported projects

The ODC-TBI supports  and collaborates with several large TBI projects including:

1) Translational Outcomes Project in TBI (TOP-NT): 

• An NIH-funded consortium that supports the development and validation of pathophysiologically based preclinical outcome measures & functional markers that align closely with practical clinical assessments in traumatic brain injury (TBI).
• ODC-TBI's Role:  Required data sharing platform

2)  Pre Clinical Interagency Research Resource - TBI (PRECISE):  

• PRECISE aims to improve translation in TBI research through the development of standards and best practices and key data and knowledge resources for pre-clinical TBI research, including protocols, a model catalog and Common Data Elements.
• ODC-TBI's Role:  Recommended data platform for data sharing;  ODC-TBI will implement PRECISE recommendations for standards and best practices and provide links from ODC-TBI data to PRECISE resources, .e.g., protocols and Model Catalog.

• Common Data Elements (CDEs) for preclinical TBI:  PRECISE is providing recommendations for working with pre-clinical TBI CDEs
